1) Are there specific requirements as to how teachers use the 5 days they are contracted beyond the school year? I.e., are they comprised of meetings or is it up to the teacher how to best use those 5 days of work?
2) Can you elaborate on the 220 sicks days--I understand that teachers are allotted 15/year and that they can carry over, but where does the 220 come from? Does this mean that teachers can't let them accumulate past 220?
3) "Vulgarity in language or under the guise of literature has no place in the school... all assigned readings or book report lists must follow the lists as prescribed by generally accepted reading lists" (p. 25). As an English concentration, I am wondering if this means that teachers are only allowed to teach books that have been placed on a list... what is this list and does it change? Are teachers allowed to teach books that aren't on the list if they get approval? Also, while vulgarity in language in literature ought to be avoided, how strict is it? (I.e., if a book has a single swear word, which many works of classic literature do, does that mean it cannot be taught?)

2) If you teach and coach for the same school district, do you make just as much as a coach coming from somewhere else would? or does it go in as a "bundle deal" and how is this all determined?
